Safe & Healthy Home Resource Fair

Building a Healthy Neighborhood is something that Rebuilding Together Hartford holds very dear. Along with our National Rebuilding Day program that is held every year on the last Saturday of April;  RTH hosts our Safe and Healthy Home Resource Fair in the neighborhood. The fair consists of the RTH team working closely with the City of Hartford's Fire Department, Healthy and Human Resources Department, and a growing list of other resources to help bring the community together and give insight to what is available to Hartford's residents. Rebuilding Together Hartford also gives away our "Safe and Healthy Home Kits" which contain fire extinguishers, smoke and CO detectors, and a number of other items that will keep you and your home free from danger.

She Builds

Rebuilding Together Hartford's She Builds program features community revitalization projects that create real change for women. She Builds provides critical home repairs to women in need and revitalizes community centers providing services to women and their families. The event series includes home repair trainings to give women the confidence and skills to maintain safe and healthy homes. According to the National Women's Law Center, more than one in seven women and more than one in five children live in poverty. More than half of those children live in families headed by women, and most don’t have a spouse’s income to rely on to support their family. Together we can increase the health and safety of their homes, and empower women to become change makers in their communities.

Team Service Projects

Are you interested in a rewarding team-building activity? Reach out to Rebuilding Together Hartford and we can coordinate a day of service that will encompass your team aiding someone in need. This special project is specifically customized to the skill levels and availability of those in your team. Most projects can be completed by unskilled volunteers and include painting, yard work, cleaning and carpentry.
