National Rebuilding Day (NRD)

What began as a simple act of neighbors helping neighbors live in safe housing has expanded to a holistic neighborhood revitalization.

National Rebuilding Day (NRD) is RTH's flagship event held annually in April. During this day long event, teams of volunteers from companies, organizations and faith-based comminities come together to provide critical home repairs for vulnerable neighbors across the City of Hartford. By partnering in our 'neighbors helping neighbors' approach, volunteers eliminate health and safety hazards and ensure that our neighbors in need are able to continue living safely and independently in their homes

The next National Rebuilding Day is April 25, 2026!  

RTH is pleased to announce we will be serving the South End NRZ for National Rebuilding Day 2026.
This program provides home repairs at no-cost to City of Hartford Homeowners who live in the South End!
We are currently accepting applications ONLY from homeowners who live in the South End NRZ!
